Unsuccessful escape from winter

The location was great to access North Tenerife hotspots e.g. garachico, parking right in front of the door, the view from the kitchen and master bedroom.

The main issue was that the apartment was very cold and humid, and no heating was provided. We understand that the weather was unusually cold for Tenerife; however, we came specifically to escape winter conditions. Unfortunately, the indoor temperature was often colder than outdoors, making the common areas uncomfortable to use. We politely informed the owner about this situation and suggested temporary heating solutions, but received no reply. This was disappointing given the circumstances. In addition, several other issues affected our stay: cold "hospital-like" lighting, unpleasant smells from the bathroom, an incomplete and aging kitchen setup (including missing gas, a difficult induction stove, and lack of proper knives until requested), and a power outage with no access to the reset switch (a neighbour had to intervene). Our experience was consistent with issues mentioned in the previous review (Florence), particularly regarding cold, humidity, lack of heating, and overall comfort. In short, the property does have potential. If guests do not plan to cook much and are guaranteed warm, sunny weather, it may be acceptable. However, for winter stays, the apartment would clearly benefit from more care, better equipment, and basic comfort measures before being confidently rented.

Logement inadéquate à la location

La situation géographique

Le logement inconfortable, sale et mal équipé alors que loué à un prix élevé qui sous entend un logement qualitatif mais les photos ne dépeignent pas la réalité: literie et canapé inconfortables, fenêtres sur rue et chambre qui ne ferment pas, nous avons eu peur pour nos effets personnels, odeurs nauséabondes dans la salle de bain qui donne dans la chambre parentale, équipements de cuisine vieux, poeles gondolées, casseroles au Tefal dégradé, pas de passoire, pas de cafetière ni de grille pain, et pas de chauffage qui rend un logement froid et humide avec des traces de moisissures dans les chambres et dans les salles de bain et des odeurs de renfermé dans les placards, nous avons dû garder nos vêtements dans nos valises. Les plombs ont sauté, donc coupure d'électricité en mettant bouilloire four et sèche linge en route en même temps. La maison est partagée, une porte de la maison donne directement dans un autre logement. On pouvait se parler à travers la porte. Le choc car cela n'était indiqué nulle part dans le descriptif. Logement clairement inadéquate à la location.En attente de dédommagement pour tous les désagréments subis.
