Unresponsive owner

Great location

We were unable to enter the property and could not reach the owner. It was Friday evening and we ended up having to cancel the booking. The property had an AI bot responding which just kept on telling us to enter the same code. The owners did not answer the phone and could not be reached by booking.com. A dreadful experience. Avoid.

Avoid This Property – Extensive Mould, Serious Health Concerns and Forced to Vacate

We were forced to leave this apartment after only 2 nights of an 8-night stay as it was not safe to remain. Apartment in an extremely neglected condition. Extensive visible mould throughout the property (including black mould), mould covering large sections of the roller blinds directly above the bed, mould throughout the bathroom, heavy accumulations of dust, cobwebs with live spiders, dead insects trapped in window frames, stained furniture, grime around appliances, faulty lighting and numerous other cleanliness and maintenance issues. I was travelling with my 80-year-old grandmother and both of us developed allergy symptoms and breathing difficulties while staying in the apartment. We immediately documented everything with extensive photographs and reported the issues to both the property and Booking. Despite this, we had no option but to urgently find alternative accommodation at our own expense. The property is managed by Furnished Properties. Despite the extensive photographic evidence, the company disputed the seriousness of the property's condition. The company retained the cleaning fee for an apartment that was clearly not cleaned to a reasonable standard and also refused to refund the unused portion of the damage waiver after we were forced to leave because of the property's condition. Another issue prospective guests should be aware of is the additional fees. The damage waiver is charged separately from the accommodation, and despite us only staying 2 of the 8 booked nights, we were not refunded for the unused portion. Booking.com's handling of this matter was disappointing. Despite being a customer for 10+ years and providing extensive photographic evidence, the property remained listed while the investigation was ongoing, and the small goodwill credit offered came nowhere near compensating us for the health concerns, disruption, relocation costs and time spent resolving this issue.

Top location, filthy property

Location is fantastic.

We tried to contact the property owner/agent but received no reply. There were numerous issues with cleanliness and possibly safety which we emailed about, but no response. Here is what was highlighted to them: Broken light switch in the bedroom. It appears that the dimmer knob is missing, and I have also noted that the switch itself is getting abnormally hot when the bedroom light is on. This may be dangerous, so needs to be reviewed and rectified, probably by a qualified electrician. Mould and damp. We noticed a strong musty smell upon entering the apartment, which is worst in the bedroom and bathroom. The bedroom blind is covered in mould spots and the bathroom has many patches of mouldy grout (see pics). This is clearly unacceptable and may present a health hazard. Cobwebs and general cleanliness - we expect occasional cobwebs, but the apartment is covered in them, with the bedroom window behind the mouldy blind being the worst offender. This looks like it has been here for some time and falls well below the expected standard. See pic for details. Fluid marks / stains on the bathroom door. I'm not sure what these dark stains are and I probably don't want to know, but they shouldn't be there. Stains on the sofa cover. The picture says it all. Again, unacceptable in our view. Fridge icebox totally frosted up, something that must take weeks if not months to build up. General cleanliness of the fridge is not great too. While the above are the major concerns, it's also disappointing that the following items are also lacking: Only one keycard provided - as a couple 2 would be useful A pod coffee maker, but no coffee pods provided. For a couple staying 3 nights, I would have thought 6 pods would be appropriate. No tea bags - again we had to buy these separately

The location was amazing very close to the ferry and bus stop. Check in and out was a quick and easy. The park is perfect for morning coffee and there is a beautiful restaurant very close to the unit.
