The room needs some work

The man in the front lobby was nice enough to move my luggage and lock it in the office due to the fact that there is no elevator. Nice pool, on the beach

Roaches, smell of chemicals in the room, moldy, not enough toiletries for 3 night stay Never received keys, but the door was unlocked. Had to ask around for the entry code.

The size of the place , the pool and the access to the beach . Location was also great

We did not have WiFi or could not access WiFi . Kept saying wrong password and I told the maintenance man and he tried and it said the same thing . The tv in the bedroom would shut off after watching 1 show . There should be more chairs at the back of the property to relax and look at the beach .

All the glamour and value of a budget motel.

Close to water

I booked a semi last minute weekend trip for my husband’s birthday. We are lifelong Florida residents and have stayed in beach rentals in every corner of the state, 2-3 times a year. The pictures seemed ok and I thought I was getting a great deal through booking.com, but 48 hours before checkin the property manager finally reached out and charged my card for more than the listing. It included cleaning fees that were NOT originally listed. The only option she gave me was cancelling, but again this was two days before check in so we would’ve been screwed in terms of accommodations. Luckily booking.com offered to refund me the difference after spending and hour+ on the phone. Upon arrival I noticed how run down the building itself is. Wood rot. Rust. The walkways are lined in plywood? Duct tape? General disrepair. Upon entering our unit, our reaction was… not an impressed one. We realized pretty quickly that this must’ve been a motel at one point. The kitchen cabinets and countertop were clean modern and updated but it stops there. Couch needs to be replaced as it is stained and feels like the springs are broken. Bed isn’t much better. Pillows suck. Furniture looks like it was dug out of a thrift shop but not in a cute way. Tub isn’t large enough for any human adult and the shower ceiling was so low my husband head grazed the top. The balcony? Plywood. Walkways? Plywood. I don’t know why. a plastic table cloth stapled to the kitchen table. Just ugly and run down if I’m being honest. Not a beach towel to be found so bring your own. Oh and change for the laundry room and detergent. There is not central air, there is a motel type unit and a window banger in the bedroom which is incredibly INCREDIBLY loud. It’s October so not unbearably hot but I can’t imagine in the summer. I realized the “good deal” I thought I was getting was just a fair price for a pretty shabby motel room.

The size of the place , the pool and the access to the beach . Location was also great

We did not have WiFi or could not access WiFi . Kept saying wrong password and I told the maintenance man and he tried and it said the same thing . The tv in the bedroom would shut off after watching 1 show . There should be more chairs at the back of the property to relax and look at the beach .
