Canopy Tent

Top rated by guests
Perched among the treetops under a rose-gold Smoky Mountain sunrise, Canopy glows in the morning light — string lights wrapping the safari tent as the forest slowly wakes. Glamping elevated in every sense.
A freestanding soaking tub framed by floor-to-ceiling forest views, pure seclusion with a side of treetop serenity. Warm bamboo walls, flowing drapes tied with rustic rope, and oversized windows make this the most peaceful bath you will ever take.
A spa-worthy bathroom perched in the treetops — freestanding soaking tub beneath canvas ceilings and forest windows, plus an oversized walk-in rain shower with bench. Warm wood, teal accents, and a chandelier make this anything but ordinary.
A spa-style rain shower with pebble stone floor and floor-to-ceiling tile — paired with a teal open vanity and mosaic mirror. Every detail in Canopy's bathroom is thoughtfully bohemian, right down to the warm bamboo walls glowing around you.
Soaring white canvas, wrap-around forest windows, and bohemian blue and green linens create a bedroom unlike any other. At Canopy you are literally sleeping among the treetops — nature surrounds you from every angle.

About this cabin rental

★ A treehouse safari tent built for two, high in the trees.

Canopy is a canvas safari tent perched on a private deck in the treetops at Elk Hollow, one of the most secluded spots on the property. Guests keep calling it a treehouse, and that's the feeling: birdsong, swaying treetops, and the Smokies in the distance.

This is glamping, not camping. The walls are canvas, but the comforts aren't: a full kitchen, a spa-style bath, heat and AC, and keyless entry. You'll fall asleep to rain on the canvas and wake to the woods, which is the point.

The most-praised part is the soaking. A private hot tub on the deck looks into the mountains, and inside there's a spa-style soaking tub with a walk-in rainfall shower. Soak under the stars, soak out of the weather, soak twice in a day.

🛋️ INSIDE

➝ Open, airy layout with a bohemian feel: layered textiles, warm wood, pops of color

➝ Cozy sitting area and French doors that open to the forest

➝ Full kitchen, stocked for cooking in or just keeping the coffee close

➝ Heat + AC, year-round

🛏️ WHERE YOU'LL SLEEP

➝ Plush aspen log king bed with screened windows letting in cool mountain air

➝ Spa-style indoor soaking tub

➝ Walk-in rainfall shower

★ The hot tub, soaking tub, and rainfall shower are the things guests rave about most

🌲 OUTSIDE

➝ Expansive wraparound deck, elevated among the trees

➝ Private hot tub with mountain views, open year-round

➝ Fire pit for starlit evenings

➝ Gas grill and a covered lounge

➝ String lights overhead after dark

♥ WHO IT'S FOR

Couples. Anniversaries, honeymoons, or a quiet weekend off the grid. It sleeps two and is secluded by design, so it's a getaway, not a party house. First time staying in a tent? Guests tell us this is the one that changes their mind.

🚗 GETTING HERE

The access road is steep with a turn along the way, so we recommend an AWD or 4WD vehicle, especially in rain. Plenty of guests make it in a 2WD, and there's a lower parking spot with a short uphill walk if you'd rather not drive the top. It's the trade for how private and elevated the tent feels. Five minutes from downtown Bryson City, right by the Deep Creek entrance to the Smokies.

➳ GOOD TO KNOW

It's a canvas safari tent, so you'll hear the rain, the birds, and a bit more of the outdoors than a cabin. There are about seven steps to enter, three at the front and four at the back. It's glamping with a full kitchen, spa bath, and heat and AC, not roughing it, but the canvas and the steps are real and worth picturing before you book.

Excellent place and just as expected/described! Nice attention to details inside and quality of furniture, supplies, etc. she thought of everything down to having coffee supplies ready and smores sticks if needed. Much appreciated so you don’t have to immediately go out and grab things once you arrive.
