If there is one word to describe our hosts it is 'caring'. From the moment we arrived in Sa Dec until we got on the bus to leave we were incredibly well looked after by Phuong and his lovely son. Plus lovely food cooked by their wife and partner who we didn't have the pleasure of meeting .
The boat was small but perfect (plenty of storage for bags) and it was delightful being on the river watching the world go by. Sa Dec is worth visiting . It didn't feel at all touristie. We were able to wander through the fascinating market without being bothered and sat at a street corner cafe watching the supplies being biked to the market. The Ancient house is worth a visit to listen to the hilarious guide. And the flowers in Sa Dec are stunning.
We highly recommend this accommodation and this city. We are so pleased we chose it.

I really enjoyed my stay at Phong’s! It was a great way to see Sa Dec as bikes (or motorbikes) are available to rent, and you are right in the flower growing area a bit north of downtown. Phong was very friendly and helpful! The property was very unique and a highlight of my visit.
I found it difficult to get comfortable at night as the mattress was quite thin and firm. It’s definitely noisy with dogs, boats and motorbikes at night, I’d definitely recommend ear plugs. Not great if you’re claustrophobic, perhaps the other boat was better but I didn’t check it out.

Wundervolle Lage in einem Hausboot auf de Fluss mit top Ausstattung! Der Eigentümer war sehr nett und sehr hilfsbereit (Roller organisieren, an den Busbahnhof fahren)! Sofort wieder!

Le propriétaire qui parle le français est très accueillant, il nous très gentiment accompagnė en scooter jusqu'à la route avec nos valises et nous a aidé à prendre le bon bus pour partir sur long xuyen car le chemin d'accès nest pas pratiquable en voiture.

et le côté nature serait un plus..
en fait, très excentré,
très bruyant car situé entre deux petites routes très passantes de scooters sur un affluant du mekong où passent les barges rapides chargées pour les livraisons,
péniche pas très propre
pas d'eau chaude à la douche,
Rustique qui à mal vieilli.
Sans isolation car direct en bois.
Intérieur étouffant et peu d'aérations,
avec fenêtres qui ne s'ouvre pas dans la petite chambre en pointe .
odeur de fuel désagréable
dommage encore car le propriétaire est très agréable.
