Excellent apartment, would return.

Very spacious, and clean. Well decorated. Bed was comfortable. Location was brilliant. A short walk less than 10 minutes to the old town where there are amazing coffee shops and restaurants.

Perfect location to old town bars and restaurants. 5 mins at most into town. Parking was easy. Quiet residential area.

Onveilige situatie; eerder incidenten verzwegen en pas reële oplossing na dreigen aangifte.

Wij hebben een zeer nare ervaring gehad met dit appartement en willen andere reizigers nadrukkelijk waarschuwen! Op de tweede dag kwamen we ’s middags terug en bleek iemand het slot geblokkeerd te hebben. De verhuurder stuurde een klusjesman. Terwijl we wachtten, kwam de buurman met drie glazen en een geopende fles wijn naar ons toe. We vonden het zeer vreemd dat hij zelf uit een andere fles dronk, identiek aan die van ons, terwijl die nog niet leeg was. We vertrouwden de situatie niet en hebben daarom niets gedronken. Bij aankomst probeerde de klusjesman niet eens eerst de sleutel, maar schroefde direct het slot open en verwijderde daar allerlei rommel uit. Hij vertelde dat de buurman dit al minstens zes keer had gedaan, telkens bij vrouwelijke gasten. Na circa twee uur konden we eindelijk naar binnen. De verhuurder had ons hierover niets verteld en beweerde aanvankelijk dat het slechts één keer eerder was gebeurd. We voelden ons niet meer veilig en durfden die avond zelfs geen eten te halen, uit angst bij terugkomst opnieuw niet naar binnen te kunnen en mogelijk buiten te moeten overnachten. De verhuurder reageerde aanvankelijk onwetend en bood slechts € 200 terug of een alternatief appartement in Portimão, een halfuur verderop. Volgende ochtend bleek na herhaaldelijk contact met de verhuurder en Booking.com dat zij weldegelijk van meerdere vergelijkbare incidenten afwist. Zij gaf bovendien toe dat er een geschil was met de buurman omdat die betwijfelde of het appartement überhaupt verhuurd mocht worden. Pas na stevig aandringen en dreigen met het doen van aangifte kregen we uiteindelijk het volledige bedrag terug. Wij raden dit appartement absoluut niet aan, vooral niet aan vrouwen. Het is onverantwoordelijk dat de verhuurder bekende veiligheidsproblemen niet meldt en blijft verhuren. Gasten horen niet bang te hoeven zijn om hun accommodatie te verlaten of te vrezen dat ze niet meer naar binnen kunnen. De verhuurder had dit eerst moeten oplossen.

de accommodatie was perfect. veel ruimte, complete keuken en een leuk balkon. ook de locatie was top! naast het centrum :)

het enige wat ons stoorde was dat de douche een beetje stonk en het water niet goed wegliep waardoor de hele badkamer soms nat was.
