This was an alright place to stay for the night while we finished the Salkantay Trail and visited Machu Picchu. They had baggage storage service for free if you wanted to leave heavy packs for Machu Picchu. There were shelves and tables to hang clothes. The bed was HUGE, and the bathroom had hot water. Just a nice, basic place to stay while you're in Aguas Calientes.
The room was not quiet and was very noisy due to the street below. We had to wait close to 40 minutes to check-in because there was no one at the reception. The staircase to our room had rainwater leaking and was wet and dangerous.

Camas confortáveis, banheiro grande e impecável. Ah, o café da manhã é uma delícia também.
Deixei minha chave para eles limparem o quarto e ao invés deles finalizarem a limpeza e deixar a chave na recepção, eles deixaram a chave pendurada na porta do quarto. Isso me deu receio pois sempre ando com meu notebook de trabalho.

The hotel was better than I was expecting given the price. It is away a little from the busiest part of the town but still close to restaurants and other facilities. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, clean and tidy. Sheets were clean. It was fairly quiet, depending on other guests. The room was serviced on request. Wifi was generally good. Breakfast was buffet style and OK but not great. As a tip: If you need a ticket for Machu Picchu, keep an eye on the ticket sales office; I saw them selling tickets one afternoon for the day after the next.
The drawbacks were similar to those noted by others. They used a lot of bleach to disinfect the room. It was very strong and uncomfortable on the first night, but I asked them not to use it in my room again and they didn't while I was there. (And at least the room did not have the mouldy-musty smell common elsewhere in Peru.) The room had concrete walls and a tiled floor and was a bit clammy given the humidity but hard to avoid in Aguas Calientes. (I don't recall any AC.) The room overlooked an internal stairwell and was on its own staircase so the level of noise depended on other guests and what else was happening. As others have noted, window fixtures were a bit variable: people could potentially look in and you could see into other rooms if you wanted but no actual issues while I was there.

Le personnel est absolument adorable et très serviable. Ils nous ont notamment indiqué une autre compagnie de bus pour monter au Machu Picchu, qui s’est révélée très efficace.
Le petit shop avec des produits de première nécessité est également très pratique en cas de besoin.
Très bruyant et absolument pas insonorisé. La chambre laisse également beaucoup passer la lumière, ce qui rend le sommeil vraiment difficile.
Très forte humidité, perceptible aussi bien sur les murs que dans l’odeur ambiante.
La propreté est malheureusement très insuffisante : taches sur les draps et les serviettes, sols sales et collants, salle de bain mal nettoyée, reste de savonnette laissé dans la douche…
Enfin, l’ensemble de l’établissement est très très vétuste.
Nous ne nous sommes pas du tout sentir à l’aise dans l’ensemble.
