About this house rental

The house is completely surrounded by the greenery of our own vineyards and centuries-old olive groves; the outdoor area is very spacious and features a large barbecue, as well as tables, chairs, and hammocks where you can relax after a day at the beach, have lunch in the shade of the majestic olive groves and oak forests, or dine beneath them to enjoy the coolness provided by the surrounding greenery. Inside, there are two spacious bedrooms: one is a suite furnished in early 20th-century Art Nouveau style, elegantly finished with period linens and lace; the other is a double bedroom, also very well-appointed and spacious, where an extra bed can be added if needed, plus we have two cribs that can be placed in either bedroom. There is a spacious bathroom with everything you need, a large dining room with a comfortable sofa bed, and a fully equipped kitchen that even features a working fireplace. What sets this house apart is its eco-friendliness—in fact, we call it the “Green House” because not only is it painted in shades of green and completely surrounded by beautiful trees, but we also generate our own energy using solar panels specially installed on the roof, we also have storage batteries to ensure the energy we produce isn’t wasted, and we’ve installed a very handy charging station for electric cars! Furthermore, we are a small farm practicing integrated production—a farming system that prioritizes techniques ensuring a lower environmental impact and reduced release of chemicals into the environment, thereby ensuring greater sustainability for agricoltura.La The house is strategically located in a perfect spot: just 5 minutes from the Lanciano exit on the A14 highway, about half an hour from Pescara International Airport, and 5 minutes from the Lanciano train station. About 300 meters from the house is the bus stop for trips to the beach or downtown. In about two minutes by car, you can reach Lanciano, a city of considerable historical and religious importance, home to the Church of St. Francis—the sanctuary of the famous Eucharistic Miracle—and the site of the second Eucharistic Miracle, “Lu frija Crist,” in the small church of Canta Croce, as well as the Montanare Towers, Old Lanciano with all its gates and the Cathedral of the Madonna del Ponte—in fact, it’s built on the Diocletian Bridge. On the other hand, it takes less than 10 minutes to reach the center of Fossacesia, and another 5 minutes down the road brings us to the world-famous Costa dei Trabocchi—now an UNESCO World Heritage Site—and the greenway, where you can stroll or go for a bike ride while enjoying a wonderful view. Also just 10 minutes from home is the Abbey of San Giovanni in Venere, which overlooks the gulf; furthermore, the mountains are easily accessible by car in about an hour—for example, Rocca Calascio is about 1 hour and 30 minutes away, Lake Scanno, which takes the same amount of time to reach—there you can hike the “Path of the Heart,” because once you reach the top, you’ll be amazed by the lake’s heart-shaped form. The Majella National Park is about 1 hour and 30 minutes away, as are the hermitage of San Bartolomeo in Legio and the Celestinian Hermitage of the Madonna dell’Altare. Lake Villetta Barrea is about 2 hours away, while Lake Bomba is 30 minutes away. It takes about 1 hour by car to reach the Calanchi Regional Reserve in Atri. Heading back toward the coast, in about 30 minutes you’ll reach Vasto, home to the Punta Aderci Nature Reserve; it takes the same amount of time to reach Pescara, one of Abruzzo’s largest cities, where Gabriele D’Annunzio’s birthplace is located. These are just a few of the countless destinations you can visit in the surrounding area.
