Location and overall facilities
Address details & Instructions to find the property were poor, we couldn’t find it for an hour after arriving, and the woman on the phone gave poor directions… saying it wasn’t near the abbey steps but the opposite end of Church Street, which wasn’t correct. She was also not able to look as driving at the time, again poor. Only after asking her several time she said it’s on the pedestrian / cobbled street did I know where it was having been to Whitby several times before. It needs improved to help other visitors.

Loved the location, cosiness of the cottage, comfortable beds and great showers.
Stairs were difficult, TV was hard to use.

Overall a lovely place to stay
.
Carpet could do with a clean, but we understand dog friendly stay.

Great location close to harbour, beach, shops etc.
Nicely decorated with lots of interesting features.
Needed a good clean. Hair in showers; bedding was grubby and stained; sofa is old and stained; plates, glasses and cutlery all needed washed before being used.
We found the property easily in daylight but it would be very hard in the dark.
Property had very steep stairs which you are notified about after booking!
