About this apartment rental
Welcome!
You’re sure to feel right at home in our high-quality, newly furnished vacation rental, located at the very top of the “Westerbuchberg.” The view from this former island in what was once the primordial Chiemsee is—there’s no other way to put it—a dream! From the apartment, it’s just a few steps to take in the panoramic view across the Kendlmühlfilzen toward the Alps.
For us, this apartment is the ideal starting point for a variety of excursions, especially to explore the beautiful Chiemgau countryside in every season: To the Chiemgau mountains—Kampenwand, Hochplatte, Geigelstein, Hochgern, Hochfelln, etc.—to the beautiful “Kendlmühlfilzen” high moor landscape, to Lake Chiemsee, or even to Unterwössen—one of Germany’s most beautiful glider airfields. Just a short drive further and you’ll find yourself in the nearby Tyrolean Kaiser Mountains or the Berchtesgaden Alps. For those who like to travel farther afield, cities rich in culture are also nearby: Salzburg, Kufstein, Munich, as well as Burghausen, Traunstein, and Rosenheim.
We’ve placed great emphasis on a bright and “minimalist” interior design to help clear your mind. It was equally important to us that the vacation rental remain allergy-friendly. There are two bedrooms available. One (“balcony room”) features a large double bed. The other has two single beds, which we’ll be happy to push together to form a double bed if needed. The beds are made of solid wood.
Thanks to the pull-out sofa in the kitchen-living room, up to two additional sleeping spots can be provided. The kitchen itself is fully equipped with high-quality appliances, dishes, and cooking utensils—and if you don’t feel like cooking yourself: Directly across the street is the Alpenhof Inn, which serves highly recommended cuisine and, upon request, will gladly serve you breakfast in its dining area with a phenomenal view of the “Wilder Kaiser.”
In addition to the bathroom with a large shower and washing machine, there is a separate toilet, and you’ll find plenty of extra storage space in the hallway.
We can provide you with a parking space located directly in front of the apartment (ground-level access via the terrace).
Wi-Fi and TV are, of course, available.
Directly across the street is the Alpenhof restaurant, which serves wonderful Bavarian food and offers a unique view of the mountains. If desired, you can also order breakfast there.
