Karibu Afrika Home is the perfect place to completely unwind and relax. The owner, Peter, and his team are incredibly nice, and the entire atmosphere is deeply laid-back – true "Pole Pole," as they say here in Tanzania. Everything is very cool and easygoing.
Located in a very peaceful neighborhood, it is the ideal spot to prepare before hiking Mount Kilimanjaro or to wind down after returning. A special shoutout goes to Winnie, who manages the house. She is the calm center of the place, always incredibly kind, attentive, and the true soul of the house. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
Unfortunately, there were a few minor technical and maintenance issues that affected the stay. The internet was quite unstable, disconnected frequently, and kept switching back and forth – the technology used here might need an upgrade. There are also a few small maintenance jobs around the house that need attention: the door lock should be properly tightened, a few doors desperately need some oil, and the sink needs to be fixed so the water drains properly.
Even if it happens to be the low season right now, it would be great if the rooftop terrace were kept a bit more inviting. Perhaps by adding a small note like: "Hey guys, if you need cushions, you can find them here." All in all, the stay was okay, and the value for money was almost alright.

Convenient location, clean rooms
Staff were not welcoming to be quite fair, always looked at us with a grim face, very difficult to approach and talk to. Not all the staff of course, but the two ladies can do much better i feel.
