Rita is a fantastic host. She greeted us as soon as we arrived at the property, which is an easy, flat 10 minute walk from the train station. The apartment is in a newer, quiet part of town and felt very safe. It has been recently renovated and was spotless. The lounge area was comfortable for 4 people and we appreciated having a washing machine.
Rita explained how everything worked and had generously stocked the kitchen with breakfast foods. She checked in with us each day via Whatsapp to make sure everything was okay. We tried one of her suggested restaurants in the old town and enjoyed an excellent dinner. The Posterna 3 moving walkway is about a 15 minute, flat walk from the apartment and takes you all the way up to the highest part of the city. We used Spoleto as our base and took a train to Assisi, and Spello is also close by train. If this apartment is available, book it! We would return again in a heartbeat! Grazie mille, Rita!

Soggiornare a Casa Mafalda è stata un’esperienza semplicemente meravigliosa. L’ambiente è estremamente comodo, pulito e accogliente, curato nei minimi dettagli per garantire il massimo del relax.
La posizione è davvero strategica: si trova a due passi dalla stazione di Spoleto e vicinissima alle scale mobili che conducono direttamente al centro storico. Inoltre, nelle immediate vicinanze c'è un ottimo locale con formula buffet dove anche chi è celiaco o intollerante al lattosio può mangiare in totale sicurezza, un dettaglio fondamentale che fa davvero la differenza!
Ma il vero valore aggiunto di Casa Mafalda è Rita, la vera anima di questa struttura. Rita è una persona straordinaria, dotata di un’estrema gentilezza e di una disponibilità rara: ha la capacità unica di farti sentire a casa anche quando sei lontano da casa. Ci ha fornito tutte le informazioni utili per il soggiorno e, nel nostro caso specifico, ha reso la nostra permanenza a Spoleto davvero indimenticabile, accompagnandoci persino alle Cascate delle Marmore — una tappa bellissima che da soli non avremmo mai potuto raggiungere!
