On the nearby Kegnæs peninsula there are also excellent swimming beaches, and it is not far to one of them. Here you can enjoy the beach life at any time of the year, whether you enjoy the sun in the secluded dunes, listen to the calming waves or search in the sand for shells and beautiful stones on the child-friendly beach. There are also great opportunities for coastal fishing, and the rest of the family will surely appreciate a dinner of freshly caught salmon, cod, plaice or hornfish. Als offers a great amount of historical memories and sights in a small area, including some of Denmark's most famous castles and mills.
