A truely magical foreign travel experience to stay in a restored winery in the middle of a family vineyard and compound, on the edge of a charming wee village in the mountains of the Douro Valley. Met with a glass of wine and stories by a family member, wonderful dinner and breakfast
The cost, especially for the extras (dinner, port, cocktails) seemed high, but may be typical for this sort of boutique experience. Getting there was challenging (GPS didn't function well on ancient village streets). A telephone call to the hotel solved the problem.

The room faced the vineyards and the view was stunning. Our spacious room was beautifully furnished and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed talking to Maria about the history of her family’s vineyard and the inn. The town is close to Pinhão but away from the crowds. We really enjoyed walking the quaint streets. Onsite parking was provided inside their wall/gate. The breakfast was excellent. We also had dinner at the inn which was delicious! We would love to stay again.

Beautiful location with amazing views. The staff were all friendly and helpful, the wines were lovely I just wish we could have stayed longer.

This location was amazing - top of the mountain with incredible views. The hotel is in the vines with a beautiful pool! We had the set dinner offered at the hotel - sat on the patio with the views and a breeze and had a wonderful dinner. Not much else in town - but perfectly relaxing and beautiful.
