This is a value for money and friendly hotel which I have used before
Dinner of the expensive side and rooms compact.

Great stay in one of the cabins. Nice to have private bathroom and a patio to look for Aurora. Set of dishes and cooking utensils, as well as microwave, hot plate, and kettle available in the room. A good distance from the road means it stays quiet.
The beds are separate, unfortunate for couples, though they can be moved easily. Outlets for charging devices are right above head of bed and fall out easily. When the HVAC is on heat, it tends to blow very hot humid air directly on to the faces of anyone sleeping on the bed. Shower is very small with limited hot water (around 10min/hour). Limited food options nearby, especially when their in house restaurant is closed.

A great view from the hotel of the surrounding fields and mountains (lots of wading birds close by). Spacious room with good beds, enough lights and sockets, adequate bathroom. There was enough choice for breakfast. Lots of parkings sapce as well.
You really need a car for this location as there are no shops or other facilities close by.
There is no lift but the staff will help you carry your bags if needed.

It was a place to sleep and the breakfast included
The many up charges such as the hot tub and laundry. Was looking forward to both amenities and the lunch isn’t a self service machine but a handoff to the staff for them to do it, at 4800 ISK for a “small bag”, I’ll pass. The radiator heat also didn’t work in our room. The staff gave us a plug in mini heater. Additionally, you have to ask the front desk for a hairdryer, upon request. There isn’t one in the room. The shower water pressure is weak on the 2nd floor.
