The property was an old property with high vaulted ceilings which we just loved. It was also very central - we literally walked out the door and we were in the middle of it all but it was relatively quiet too.

A stylish appartment in an excellent location of Bordeaux. A nice potpourri of different styles and ages. Very spacious.
The communication with the staff is troublesome, we had to wait almost 30 minutes to get the keys and some questions were not answered.
Cleanliness is moderate. Very noisy appartment, the windows are not well soundproof.

The property is well located, and you can reach the tourist areas quickly.
In general, we are easy travellers and accept that situations like this happen, but we were looking forward to experiencing Bordeaux and the surrounding area with my father-in-law, as it was his first time travelling in Europe, and this apartment disappointed us.
The second bathroom is accessed via a very steep spiral staircase, which needs safety attention. My father-in-law had to use this bathroom, as the other bathroom had stairs to teh bath that he could not climb.
I felt the bottom bathroom hadn't been cleaned recently, as there were cobwebs and a spider in the basin (I am sorry, but I don't agree with "they sometimes just appear"). Even though the host assured me that it was done the day before. The showerhead definitely needs replacing; it was caked with limescale, and we couldn't get it to stay in place for a proper shower.
The second bedroom's bedding was covered in dust, and I asked the host to replace it, but they declined, saying it was clean linen when the bed was made. The main bathroom mat was wet when we arrived, and it never dried out. This was obviously because the shower/bath when used - leakes water down the steps. The main bathrooms technically only has a bath with a moveable showerhead.
The kitchen was well equipped, but lacked a few pieces of cutlery and plates, which we only found on the last day when preparing to leave, as they were in the dishwasher. We washed our dishes by hand and did not need to use the machine.
Attention to small details makes the guest's stay pleasant.
