The Il Ciliegio apartment (103 m²) is one of three self-contained apartments that make up the La Rota farmhouse, nestled amid the organic vineyards of the Conca d'Oro valley in Panzano in Chianti. It overlooks the valley and features a charming private garden, perfect for outdoor living and equipped with a barbecue. The apartment includes two double bedrooms, one single bedroom, and two bathrooms, and can comfortably accommodate up to 5 people.
The apartment is spread over three floors. The main entrance leads from the garden to a bright and welcoming living room with a fireplace, and then to a spacious kitchen and dining room equipped with a stove, an electric oven, and a dishwasher.
The three bedrooms are located on the first floor of the apartment—a double bedroom with its own adjacent bathroom offers picturesque views of the valley; there is a second double bedroom and a single bedroom, as well as another bathroom. The first floor also features a secondary entrance that provides easy access to the pool area.
The apartment has been renovated using materials typical of our region, such as terracotta, chestnut and cypress wood, wrought iron, and gray sandstone, and furnished with fresh, colorful fabrics that create an elegant and comfortable atmosphere.
The building is not air-conditioned, but fans are provided during the hot season. During the winter months, the apartment is fully heated, which is included in the rental cost. Firewood for the fireplace is provided free of charge.
Il Ciliegio has its own parking space next to the apartment entrance. Beyond the private garden, on the farm grounds, is the fenced-in pool and sunbathing area shared with the other guests of the “La Rota” farm.
The La Rota farmhouse is surrounded by the magnificent organic vineyards of the Fontodi winery, in the very heart of the famous Conca d’Oro valley in Chianti, whose name derives from the golden glow of the wheat that was once grown there. The valley faces southeast and offers spectacular views of the surrounding hills as well as a 180° sunset every evening.
La Rota is a twenty-minute drive from the main square of Panzano, a lively hilltop village at the heart of the Chianti Classico wine region. Panzano has many excellent bars and restaurants, a supermarket, a pharmacy, banks, and other local shops. A popular market is held in the main square every Sunday.
