The entire property is immersed in greenery, with people tending the land and working on the farm throughout the day. Everything feels genuine, peaceful, and full of life. Once you arrive, you hardly want to leave the grounds.
As a Ukrainian, this place touched me deeply because it reminded me of my grandmother’s house in the village, where I spent my childhood summers. It brought back the same feeling of warmth, simplicity, and closeness to the land. You can sense that the owners truly love and care for this place. Such beauty does not appear by itself—it is created through years of hard work, patience, and devotion. I am grateful that the owners decided to share not only their farm, but also their way of life and their story, by building this lovely hotel within it.
The food is fresh and organic, and there are so many beautiful places beyond your room where you can relax—the swimming pool, the fireplace, and quiet, romantic corners surrounded by tropical greenery.
A special thank-you to Ismail, who was incredibly kind, attentive, and helpful. He made me feel completely safe and cared for throughout my stay. If you need anything, ask Ismail—he is wonderful.
This was not simply a hotel stay, but a warm and memorable experience that I will carry home with me.

Beautiful vegetation everywhere and views. And what made it more beautiful was the Charisma of the staff . By far superb Customer Service .
Everything was fresh and tasted amazing! Truly admirable concept . “From Farm to Table. “
Had been in Arusha and now in Zanzibar and absolutely no comparison to Shose Farmhouse.
Wish the caged animals had more room to roam…. 🥹

Nice views of Kilimanjaro. Very nice front desk and restaurant staff. Some rooms are updated and very nicely furnished. Good food for lunch (fish especially).
Some rooms are not finished and they should not rent to guests just yet (exposed wires coming out of the walls). They overbooked the hotel and did not let guests know-marked us as No Shows. Didn’t do anything to remedy overbooking. Restaurant extremely slow. Overpriced dinner buffet for mediocre food. Large moths in my room-fluttering around the light. No proper drainage in the bathroom so it floods when you take a shower. Bottles are not labeled in the room so couldn’t tell if Shampoo or Conditioner or Shower Gel.
