Disappointed - This Place is a Little Odd and Creepy

This property has a lovely view, is very spacious and set in a quiet neighborhood.

Unfortunately this accommodation has a negative impression from the moment you arrive. There’s a “Remove Your Shoes - Or Scrub the Floors” message as you enter the suite - seems there might be a better way to greet your guests. Next, the Welcome Binder starts with a “my sincere apologies… the soundproofing is not very efficient” (which is an accurate statement) - not a great start. While the space is cavernous - it’s odd at best. You enter via the carpeted first bedroom which has only a curtain (no wall/door) for privacy and then step into a dark dining/kitchen area that has an epoxied cement floor (which you generally find in garages/basements). The kitchen is well equipped - however, the stove, sink and refrigerator are in very separate spaces. The rooms have been maximized for bed/sleeping spaces and the furnishings seem a little random and tired. There are NO CLOSETS or hanging rods or hooks in the suite (other than a small hall tree at the entry and one towel rack in bathroom). Laundry is a bonus - however, there is an unsecured (no door) stairway to the garage which is concerning. We had to wipe down cobwebs in the bathroom, clean pot/pans before using and found used tissues in the couch pillows and in a vase on the coffee table - ugh! The outdoor space in NOT PRIVATE as there were other guests/family members camped out on a couch - which was a little creepy! Seems there is another unit/rental here which creates adjacent noise and routine foot traffic in front of the living space windows. The TV does block half of the living room windows - which unfortunately, also blocks half the view. The patio does not receive direct sunlight - so, certainly not a sun deck. While the property has a nice sea view it is NOT WATERFRONT as there is no access to the shoreline - BTW: no eagles nest. Parking is only available on the street. Some better instructions would be helpful - e.g.

Great view. But wasn’t for us. it was very clean

It was very clean

I didn’t realise the access to the property was would be so hard to get my bags inside considering my age. Two uneven paths. The coffee machine needed rescaling so we couldn’t use it, the toilet seat doesn’t fit properly. Sorry but the property was very quirky which we didn’t expect and a distance from any restaurants.

Quiet residential apartment with lovely views

Quiet, water front, great views, spacious property. Equipped kitchen. Lots of natural light in main room and main bedroom.

It was comfortable but not high end. Residential neighborhood albeit nice, did not have a secluded feeling. Kitchen and dining areas quite dark.

Wow, eine dieser aussergewöhnlichen Perlen, die man zuweilen als Unterkunft findet. Allein der Blick aus dem Fenster ist das Geld schon wert. Sehr viel Platz, um sich wie ein Promi am Meer zu fühlen.

Sehr viel Platz, tolle Ausstattung. Nette Vermieter, die sogar noch Blume vorbeigebracht haben.
