The hotel has a pleasant, peaceful atmosphere and beautiful green grounds. Compared with many traditional all-inclusive resorts in the area, it feels more European in its approach to hospitality. Most of the staff are polite and discreet, and the overall environment is calm and relaxing.
We also enjoyed the occasional live music. The hotel is a good choice in principle for guests who prefer a quieter holiday without loud entertainment or constant animation.
Unfortunately, there were quite a few issues that significantly affected our experience.
It seems that Beldibi, the village where the hotel is located, has something resembling a local taxi mafia, with drivers aggressively preventing Uber and other ride-hailing services from operating in the area.
But what really surprised me in the bad way - the hotel receptionist actively pitched local taxi services to us and told us that ordering an Uber from the hotel is “practically impossible”.
She even said to us something like “you can try, but you’ll see it’s impossible” 🫠 At the same time, reception displayed fixed local taxi fares that were approximately twice the Uber prices (!!!!).
I cannot confirm whether the hotel has any arrangements with local taxi operators, but its apparent acceptance of this situation was extremely disappointing. Guests should be able to arrange transportation without intimidation.
Our room was also extremely noisy. We were given a ground-floor room overlooking a hedge, behind which stood a large glass bottle disposal container. Every morning and evening, including after 10 PM, hotel employees would throw large quantities of bottles into it. The noise was incredibly loud even with the balcony door closed and regularly disturbed our rest.
Food availability was disappointing for an all-inclusive resort. Lunch ends around 2:30 PM, while dinner starts at approximately 7 PM. Between these meals, the only options were essentially sweets, ice cream, and rather unpleasant sandwiches. There was no decent savoury snack or light meal, so we sometimes had to eat outside the hotel.
The à la carte restaurant was another disappointment. The portions were tiny, the presentation unappetising, and the food simply didn’t taste good. My rabbit dish (I’ve attached the photo - it’s the last in the list) was particularly unsuccessful, and one of the starters was a slice of melon covered in a barbecue-like sauce. I would not recommend spending an evening there.
