About this apartment rental
This child-friendly vacation rental, featuring a cozy kitchen-dining area with a wood-burning stove and a play area for children, is located on my small farm. There are three horses, chickens, dogs, and a cat there, which the children can get to know under my supervision. Collecting eggs and grooming the horses are especially popular activities with the kids. Nestled in the heart of the Westerwald, amidst the romantic river landscape of the Nister—about 80 km from Cologne—you can enjoy great hiking (the Westerwaldsteig trail), biking, swimming in the river, and discovering country life. You might even spot kingfishers by the river or come across the shy black stork! Within a 30-km radius, there are great places to visit for both children and adults, such as Hachenburg with its historic market square and regional museum, the climbing and animal park in Bad Marienberg, the Panarbora treetop walk in Waldbröl, or Marienstatt Abbey with its abbey garden, excellent restaurant, and beer garden. If you’d like, you can help feed the animals or tend to my self-sustaining garden. Or, after an exciting day, simply relax on the cozy bench under the walnut tree and grill something at the fire pit. Enjoy the summer from your balcony or on the terrace of your vacation rental—listen to the birds chirping, take in the delicate green of the trees, and hear the gentle murmur of the Nister River.

We absolutely loved our stay here. The owner was so friendly and willing to answer all our questions. Property was so beautiful with horses and chickens. I loved waking up to hearing the animals in the morning and the area is just beautiful. 5 minutes from a grocery store. She had fresh fatm eggs available for us. Cozy place- would definitely stay qgain!!
