About this apartment rental

TORRE ALBORI - VIETRI SUL MARE - AMALFI COAST
6 BEDROOMS - POOL
Location and Surrounding Area. Set on the cliffs of the fishing village of Marina di Albori and overlooking the sea, this magnificent six-bedroom Saracen tower dating back to 1500 AD is the perfect place for a relaxing getaway on one of the most famous stretches of coastline in the Mediterranean. With a spectacular cliff-top setting facing the crystal-clear waters of the Tyrrhenian Sea, it’s no wonder the Amalfi Coast is a must-visit destination on everyone’s bucket list. The Tower is located in Marina di Albori, between Vietri sul Mare and Maiori, where you’ll be captivated by its narrow alleys, characteristic white houses, and flower-adorned balconies.

The villa is just a stone’s throw from Vietri sul Mare, a seaside resort exceptionally renowned for its ceramics. Cooking utensils, plates, vases, and tiles have been made here since the 1400s. In the mid-18th century, Vietri sul Mare became known as the most important majolica-making district on the Amalfi Coast. The most distinctive items produced were the highly popular tiles painted with religious motifs, which can still be seen in the streets, private homes, and churches.

The Tower is also a few kilometers from Maiori, which resembles an amphitheater at the end of the Tramonti Valley. The ancient hamlet of Maiori was rebuilt after a flood in 1954 and is now a modern small town. Its beautiful beaches and excellent swimming facilities have made Maiori one of the most visited towns on the coast. The villa is also a few kilometers from Ravello. Perched high in the hills above Amalfi, Ravello is famous for its ravishing gardens and stupendous views—the best in the world, according to former resident Gore Vidal.

Nestled between the mountains and the sea, Amalfi is a town best explored on foot. While Piazza Duomo and the main street are home to most of the town’s shops and restaurants, be sure to spend some time wandering and exploring the quieter side streets, where you’ll find arched passageways, hidden gardens, and tiny piazzas. Perched high in the hills above Amalfi, Ravello is a quiet and elegant village. From the terraces of Villa Rufolo and Villa Cimbrone, you can enjoy breathtaking views—the same ones beloved by Wagner and Greta Garbo. Ravello is also famous as the City of Music and for its Ravello Festival, an annual summer music festival held in the town.

The villa is also just a few kilometers from Positano, known as the “vertical city” as it climbs the hills in steps, with the oldest houses in the upper part—painted in faded red or pink—decorated with Baroque stucco. Via Pasitea, the pedestrian-only street leading down to the sea, winds through the heart of the town with its narrow, stepped alleys, houses with vaulted roofs, terraces, and tiny gardens clinging to the rock face. The brightly colored items for which Positano is famous, displayed outside the shops, blend beautifully with the pastel-colored houses.

Torre di Albori is 56 km from Naples Capodichino International Airport and 284 km from Rome Leonardo da Vinci International Airport. Vietri sul Mare is 3.5 km from the property, Maiori is 13 km, Amalfi is 18 km, Ravello is 22 km, Pompeii is 28 km, Herculaneum is 45 km, Naples is 52 km, Conca dei Marmi is 23 km away, Positano is 36 km away, Nerano is 47 km away, and Praiano is 29 km away.

The Property. Located in the picturesque village of Marina di Albori, just a few kilometers from Vietri sul Mare, Torre di Albori offers the perfect retreat for those seeking complete privacy and relaxation in one of the most evocative corners of the Amalfi Coast. Nestled between an endless blue sky and the azure sea, the spectacular cliff-top setting of this ancient tower ensures superb panoramic views. Offering an elegant atmosphere and panoramic views, Torre di Albori can accommodate up to twelve guests in six double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms spread over three levels.

With spacious terraces and expansive gardens overlooking the sea, this magnificent villa boasts an exceptional swimming pool and a poolside area equipped with comfortable sun loungers, inviting guests to sit back and unwind. Accessed
