About this house rental
Located in one of the most sought-after areas of the Tuscan-Latium Maremma, specifically on the border between Pescia Romana and Pescia Fiorentina, the “Volpi della Maremma” villa offers breathtaking views stretching from the typical Maremma countryside all the way to the sea, the Monte Argentario promontory, and the island of Giannutri.
We are located halfway between Capalbio and Montalto di Castro, both renowned for their long sandy beaches and crystal-clear waters. The villa, tastefully finished and designed as a place of relaxation, allows you to enjoy the splendid natural surroundings through its large, bright windows. This splendid residence is surrounded by a large, well-maintained, and inviting fenced-in garden, as well as an olive grove, a vineyard, tall trees, fruit trees, aromatic herbs, and all the most beautiful and colorful flowers of the Mediterranean scrub. There are numerous areas equipped for outdoor dining and a characteristic three-basin fountain with an adjacent sunbathing area for exclusive use. Pescia Romana is an ideal starting point for exploring the famous surrounding beaches, such as L’ultima Spiaggia in Capalbio, or for venturing inland to discover small villages. Essential services and shops are located in Pescia Romana, about a five-minute drive away.
The Villa
The villa is arranged over three interconnected levels, accessible both internally via stairs and externally from the garden or via an additional staircase.
From the main entrance, located on the raised first floor, you enter a spacious foyer that leads to a large living area illuminated by large windows offering ocean views. Contributing to the home’s comfort are two dining areas, the spacious living room with a lounge area featuring plush sofas, armchairs, and French doors providing direct access to the outdoors. Rounding out this level are a master bedroom, a small sitting room with a fireplace, and two bathrooms, both equipped with showers.
The first floor is entirely dedicated to the sleeping quarters, with a total of four bedrooms. There is the master bedroom, which opens onto a terrace from which you can admire the beautiful panorama of the sea, with its myriad shades of blue stretching out before you; another double bedroom with access to the same terrace, overlooking the hills; a bedroom with a French bed; and a small bedroom (equipped with a bunk bed, to which an extra single bed can be added), along with two bathrooms.
The first floor/basement (which is a “false” basement since it is situated on a sloping hillside) offers an additional bedroom with a French bed (ideal for a babysitter or house staff), a laundry room, a gym, a large recreation room, a bathroom with a shower, and a huge kitchen.
The first floor opens onto a spacious patio capable of hosting large outdoor dinners thanks to a table that seats about 20 people. Nearby, there’s a barbecue for unforgettable grilling sessions and a professional outdoor oven suitable for baking bread and pizzas.
Additional home amenities: mosquito screens, washing machines, and air conditioning in every room.
Park A fence runs along the entire perimeter of the property, which spans approximately 3.5 hectares. Beyond the automatic iron-and-wood gate, next to the villa, there is a parking area with five covered parking spaces under a canopy.
The garden is laid out on two levels:
- at the entrance level, a large olive tree welcomes you, alongside an old horse-drawn carriage typical of the Maremma “butteri”
- descending one level, you’ll reach the most inviting and picturesque part of the garden, featuring a large fountain perfect for cooling off on sweltering summer days. This part of the garden features a mostly flat lawn and a delightful covered portico, ideal for outdoor dining, furnished with chairs, tables, sofas, and armchairs. In the sunbathing area, there’s a gazebo, also equipped with a table, chairs, and lounge chairs—perfect for relaxing while sipping an aperitif with friends and admiring the enchanting sunsets over the sea on the horizon.
Another section of the garden is dedicated to the enjoyment of the “little ones,” featuring a trampoline (with safety netting), a swing, several hammocks, and various other games (bocce, Frisbee, balls, etc.).
Please note that the kitchen is equipped with dishes and pots and pans, while towels and sheets are not provided unless previously arranged and for an additional fee.
