Being a bit outside the town made it a pretty peaceful location, there's a waterfall about 2km away from it thay's very nice, staff was helpful during checkin and also accepting to receive a package before I arrived, with solid english to boot, there's options for breakfast and dinner you can opt for while staying here, I think there's a shuttle service which I imagine could be very helpful
There was a fly in my room during the entirety of my stay that was a slight annoyance from time to time.
The facilities are a little bit on the old side.
You cant eat or drink in your room, which I get from an hygienic point of view but it's a slight pain when you rent a private room.
And this is not a real problem from the facilities as they offer a shuttle service but if you decide to walk from the nikko station with luggage be aware it's a relatively steep uphill walk, not an experience I'd recommend so keep that in mind

Nikko park mountain lodge has a nice friendly, relaxed feel with very helpful staff and a comfortable lounge area
The building itself and the rooms were a little tired
