Excellent location, close to Ikebukuro station and plenty of restaurants. We appreciated having a Japanese-style room with its own private toilet and shower/tub. Front desk staff were extremely helpful and friendly, and gave us a good tip about using Airporter for luggage delivery.
We normally like sleeping on futons and tatami, but in this case the futons are very thin (approximately 2" thick) and no extra mattress is provided, so it may be uncomfortable to some. The room gets a bit musty, but we don't recommend cracking open the (screened) window to try to let the room air out, lest you let the spiders in.
We were on the main floor facing the street and it can get quite noisy with people and vehicles passing very close by. Also, a warning to those who, like us, are given a main floor room of Building 2 (which is unstaffed) - since the kitchen and entry are just around the corner: not only can other guests often be loud, but because those from the 2nd floor using the dumbwaiter/small luggage "elevator" often neglect to shut the door properly before they leave, it will trigger a loud "please close the door" reminder over and over until another guest (like ourselves), comes out into the hallway to fix this. In other words, earplugs are highly recommended while staying here for uninterrupted sleep.

The location is very convenient. Short walk from Ikebukoro station (West Exit C1A and C1B) and bus stop (at Exit C10) for airport limousine bus is just few minutes walk from hotel. Like their initiatives of putting my 2 luggages in my room before I checked in.
Toilet dehumidifier very weak, unable to dry a toilet after 3days. Need to improve on their toilet sanitation. The toilet looked filthy with mould are found on the door, door handle, on and under the bathroom corner rack, bath tub stopper. Not sure why cleaner put a filthy and black looking sponge under the sink which is next to bath tub. Overall, you wont want to lay in bathtub after sighting mould and filthy looking sponge next to you.
