Vivenda Fortim is located on Madeira’s wild and romantic northeast coast. The climate here is very mild. Although it’s far from the bustling south coast, the house is still easily accessible. This part of the island is considered Madeira’s most beautiful hiking region. Many of the best-known hiking trails are just a short walk from the house. There are also great swimming spots along the coast here. In the immediate vicinity of Vivenda Fortim is an old fortress, hence the house’s name.
