McCarthy's Westport

Did what needed

Great location, friendly staff

Pillows were hard. Water pressure in sink was low. Shower was good. Otherwise room was clean & sufficient

The location is great for staying in Westport. Lot’s of pubs and restaurants in short walking distance. Pretty much in the center of the town. Parking wasn’t a problem. Street parking is very affordable and spots were available whenever I needed. The pub was cool with live local music both nights I was there. Check-in at the pub went smoothly, even though I showed up slightly early. (Pub opens earlier on the weekends)

Location. I had originally booked a double & single for three , when I asked could we change it so we had a bed each the man on the phone was very helpful & it was not a problem . All staff were very friendly. There was residents lounge if heat was on we would have sat in there more often .

No heat on during daytime , no tea/coffee facilities in room, no eating or drinking in room . Had to hold tap down with one hand to wash other hand , wash teeth etc, both taps were the same. Bulbs not working in both lampshades. Could not watch telly it kept losing signal . Picture of pub is used on advertisement, we were in a house two doors up the street.
