Noise disruption - would not recommend this property

The apartment was clean

I would avoid this place. The location is far from Zadar old town (but you know that when booking). The main issue is the lack of proper management of the accommodation. I was in a basement room and had my sleep interrupted by noise from the floor above throughout my stay. On my first night, I was kept awake until 1.30am by loud footsteps and a child running around upstairs. I raised the issue the following morning and the owner said they had reminded them of the unsocial hours rules. I was then woken up before 7am and just after 7am by the same noise (again during unsocial hours) on two other occasions. This made it difficult to get proper rest. When I raised the issue again, the only thing the property owner offered was that I could leave three nights before the end of my stay and be refunded for two nights (i.e. lose the £50 I paid for a night) or pay an additional €70 euros to stay at another accommodation they owned for two nights. The owner argued that because I was renting a room it wasn't reasonable to expect that there wouldn't be noise in the property during unsocial hours. They also said that because I hadn't cancelled two weeks before the booking I wasn't entitled to a refund despite the disruption being due to ongoing noise in the property. Overall, the accommodation did not feel properly managed, the owner failed to provide a satisfactory resolution to the noise issue and as a result I didn't have a restful stay there. I would not recommend staying there.

A nice place in a quiet neighbourhood full of cats!

The owner was super nice and kind, available for our requests. The apartment was clean and well equipped. The place was 15/20 minutes from the centre but well connected with the busses which are available every 30/45minutes.

Superb

The staff was really kind and it was very clean. The fitness has everything needed for a good workout. The rooms were small but cozy.

The accommodation is way too far from the city center and the public transport is not very comfortable since there is approximately an hour between its courses and the latest bus from the center is at 22:20 o'clock. However if you come by car maybe it will be no problem.
