I wish we stayed somewhere nicer. The view & hot tub were the only postives.
The views & hot tub were the only positives.
We were honestly hoping for a bit more. The house is very outdated, the kitchen isn’t well equipped, and communication wasn’t great.
The Wi-Fi wasn’t working, and we never received a response after reaching out for help. There was also a sign mentioning a welcome gift, but none was provided. When we messaged about it, we were told to look for it. After explaining that we had already searched everywhere, our concern was simply dismissed.
The house had several maintenance issues. The back door was missing a screen, and one of the closet doors was missing entirely. We were told someone would come the next day to fix it, but no time was provided. Since we were a group of 10 women with all of our belongings in the house, we weren’t comfortable having someone enter while we were away. We asked if they could come while we were there, but no accommodation was offered. Because the back door couldn’t be left open without a screen, the house became much hotter than it needed to be.
There were bugs in the downstairs back bedroom, one bedroom didn’t have a fan, and the pots and pans still had food stuck on them. The bedding also wasn’t great—the wool blankets were far too heavy for the middle of summer, the sheets were itchy, and some even had hair on them when we arrived.
The bunk beds were extremely small, more suitable for young children than adults, and one person actually fell because one of the steps on the ladder was missing.
Overall, the house feels very outdated and wasn’t as well maintained as we expected. We had hoped for a much better experience, especially for the price.
