We loved the authentic character of the cottage. It’s small but very cosy, and the location is great. It’s just a short drive from Sandviken, where you can find everything you need, while still being in a peaceful area. There are lovely walking paths nearby, and Högbo Bruk is very close, which was a big plus for us.
Communication with the host was easy and went smoothly throughout our stay. The cottage was a little cold when we first arrived, but this was addressed, and the temperature was great for the rest of our stay.
Unfortunately, there are no doors inside the house apart from the bathroom door, which means there is virtually no privacy.
The main bed for two was extremely soft and uncomfortable for us.
We understand the need to leave the accommodation in good condition and respect the host’s cleaning requirements. However, we felt that the cleaning instructions were a bit excessive, with an unusually long list of tasks, including things like vacuuming the radiators. We believe some of these responsibilities go beyond what guests should reasonably be expected to do before checking out.
Bed linen is charged extra (€10 per item), yet two of the four duvet covers we received were torn and had broken zippers. We were also expected to put the linen on and take it off ourselves, which we understand is part of the arrangement and don't mind. We just wanted to mention it as feedback. However, we would have appreciated receiving linen in decent, usable condition, especially considering the additional cost.

Marleen & Michael

"Splendid place. Sweet house, spotless clean, beautiful garden. We had lovely breakfast at the small river in the backyard. Highly recommended."
