We honestly couldn’t recommend The Tides highly enough. We’ve stayed in some amazing 5-star hotels over the years, and we would genuinely put this B&B up there with the very best.
From the moment we arrived, the service was exemplary. Every area of the B&B was outstanding. The rooms were beautiful, with incredibly comfortable beds, great amenities and absolutely spotless throughout. The views overlooking Ballybunion were also lovely, and the location was perfect for exploring the area.
And then there was the breakfast… absolutely incredible! We tried nearly everything on the menu during our stay and every single thing was fantastic. The pancakes were a particular hit with our three children — although, judging by how quickly they disappeared, I think they may have been the biggest fans of all!
The real standout, though, was David and his wife. They couldn’t have been more welcoming, friendly and accommodating. We were travelling with our three small children, which isn’t always the easiest, but they went above and beyond to make our stay as easy and enjoyable as possible. Nothing was too much trouble, and their warmth and genuine hospitality made such a difference.
We had originally only planned to stay for one night, but we loved it so much that we ended up extending our stay for another two nights — which probably says everything!
If you’re looking to stay in or around Ballybunion, honestly, look no further. We wouldn’t stay anywhere else.
If we could give more than 5 stars, we absolutely would.
