We really enjoyed our stay at Cutlass Court Apartments. The apartment itself was lovely, spacious and comfortable, with plenty of room to relax. Towels were provided, along with little extras such as tea bags, coffee, sugar and milk cartons, which we thought was a really nice touch.
The location was absolutely perfect for what we needed. We had booked to stay after attending the Westlife concert at the Utilita Arena, as we didn’t fancy travelling all the way home afterwards. The apartment was within easy walking distance of the arena, which made everything so much easier. It’s also only around a five-minute walk from Brindleyplace, with plenty of bars, restaurants and other amenities nearby. Everything we needed was pretty much on our doorstep.
The information provided before our stay was very detailed, with clear instructions and descriptions, which we really appreciated. Overall, a lovely apartment in a fantastic location, particularly if you’re attending an event at the Utilita Arena or planning a night out in Birmingham. We would definitely consider staying again.
The only thing that confused us was the sleeping arrangements. We had booked the apartment for three people, and the listing stated that there was a double bed and a single bed. However, when we arrived, we couldn’t see where the third person was supposed to sleep.
Luckily, our friend ended up having to drive home due to work commitments, so it wasn’t an issue for us in the end. However, had she stayed as originally planned, we’re genuinely not sure what we would have done!
There was a black leather sofa in the living room, but it wasn’t clear whether this converted into a sofa bed, and we couldn’t see an obvious additional sleeping area. Considering the apartment had been booked for three guests, we would have expected the sleeping arrangements to be a little clearer, particularly as a single bed was advertised.
It didn’t spoil our stay, but it’s definitely something worth clarifying for future guests booking for more than two people.

Location is very central, the apartment itself is nice enough.
The walls do not have the dramatic wallpaper shown in the photo - it's all very drab, in many places quite dirty, and everywhere the sadness of magnolia emulsion.
Lots of marks and cracks, and ugly damp problems in the bathroom, with peeling paint in other places too.
Didn't like the anonymous check-in procedure - it felt very alien. The owner didn't reply to any messages and there was no sense of 'welcome' about arriving there. The fact that it was below par (decoratively-speaking) was a let down, and we couldn't get the TV to work on normal channels but there was no way of getting any answers to any questions: just Instructions on how to check in, check out, all by WhatsApp.
