About this villa rental
The house is located on a private property overlooking Silves Castle. It is set back from the neighbors. It’s a haven of tranquility, yet it’s close to the city limits. Silves is the historic capital of the Algarve, a city of the Moors, as you can see by visiting the museums. You can also visit the castle as well as the medieval fair held in August, which recalls the days when Christians and Moors lived side by side.
The house has everything you could want. It accommodates 8–10 people. The pool is private and secluded. It’s a saltwater pool. The two terraces offer magnificent views of the property’s wooded landscape and the castle. Many of the beaches are just a 15-minute drive away. Places to enjoy the Algarve’s entertainment and nightlife are also very close to the house. It takes about 15 minutes to reach Albufeira and Portimão. There are also water parks and golf courses nearby.
There are games for both children and adults to enjoy, as well as satellite TV and Wi-Fi. The house is air-conditioned.

First off, let me say that the villa is lovely and the views from it, together with the utter peace and the wildlife to look at, are even lovelier. We would definitely consider a return visit, but there were some small flaws which could be easily rectified:*Cristina was very helpful - we had a problem with one of the toilets and we had a new one within a day. *An information book in the villa - rubbish disposal, nearest doctor, taxi services, emergency procedures, check out procedure (We had an early start and had to ask how to get out of the gates while leaving our keys in the villa) WiFi password, etc would help immensely. *I was surprised that we didn’t get at least a mid -stay clean.*Bed linen was changed once in three weeks; subsequently clean sheets were left and we did it ourselves. The dirty sheets were never picked up. They were in a folded heap in the villa until we left.*We were given just one change of towels in the three weeks. The dirty ones weren’t taken away so we just washed and reused the towels we had.None of this seriously marred our stay - we live in clean houses and are perfectly capable of doing the same in a holiday villa, but if these are the terms of the rental it should be made much clearer.

This was a return visit for us, 3 weeks this time and we were not disappointed .As our previous stay the property was clean, well equipped, and a few very positive changes.Communication was excellent & Cristina was always contactable, responded quickly and was as always extremely helpful.There has been a considerable improvement to the kitchen & the pool area.The kitchen has had an upgrade with much more storage which was a great improvement. The pool are has been refurbished with the addition of a gazebo area overlooking the orange groves. This became one of our favourite places to sit in the afternoon & evening.We have stayed in many properties over the years and rarely do return stays, this property is one of the best we have stayed in based location, surroundings & excellent hosts & accommodation.Again we didn’t want to leave.Thankyou Eduardo, Cristina & Nelly for making our holiday as wonderful as could be.

It is a great house for 6 people. The pool and outside area is really nice. We really enjoyed the quiet mornings getting coffee and enjoing the view to Silves Castle. The kids loved the we could use the pool all day. Noone else is close enough to worry about the noise. Its about a 20 min drive to the nearest beach. Silves is in a great position to explore Algarve.The house owners are kind and helpfull. Overall we really enjoyed our stay

Excelente location. Near the center, but as if you in the middle of the wild. Pool water very pleasante. The house is very confortable. Place to repeat the holidays.
