The hotel is in a superb site next to the lake. The restaurant is good too.
We recommend getting the more expensive suite for the view and comfort
We stayed on a Sunday night. There was no breakfast served and despite there being a kitchenette in the suite there was no kettle nor microwave.
They should have offered some bread rolls butter jam etc and we would happily have prepared our own breakfast
Perhaps one should avoid booking on a "no breakfast" day

Die Lage des Strandhotels hat mir sehr gut gefallen; es liegt direkt am Hengsteysee und hat eine schöne Außenbewirtschaftung. Hotel und Anlage vermitteln Urlaubsfeeling, selbst wenn es sich hier um Hagen handelt. Man kann vom Hotel aus den Ruhr-Rad-Wanderweg folgen. Die Zimmer sind geräumig, ebenso das Duschbad. Im Bad hat mir nichts gefehlt, im Zimmer hat mir aber ein Trinkglas gefehlt.
Das Hotel hat per Saldo ein gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis hat. Das gilt aber nicht für das Frühstück. Es hat mich für den Preis echt enttäuscht.

Lage der Unterkunft direkt am See und die Ausstattung des Zimmers
Es wäre schön gewesen, wenn morgens noch Personal im Haus gewesen wäre und die Möglichkeit bestanden hätte, im Haus zu frühstücken.

Gut war die Lage am Wasser.
Die Sauberkeit im Zimmer hätte besser sein können. In allen Ecken Spinnweben und auf dem Boden Dreck. In den Betten waren viele Haare und die Handtücher rochen muffig. Auch schade das es kein Frühstück gab. Wir sind Sonntag angereist. Montag und Dienstag ist geschlossen und man sagte uns Frühstück gibt es erst ab Donnerstag...
