Disappointing

The pool area is nice. The owner is friendly. The kitchen is new and there's plenty of space in the bedrooms and lounge area.

This is an apartment in the roof of the house in the photos. We didn't realize that there would be others on site when we booked so that was disappointing. It was even more disappointing when we got down around and were told several of the outdoor spaces were private and not for guests. The photo of the house shows a lovely outdoor area with some chairs at the front of the house overlooking the view. This is off limits. The apartment is three stories up. To get to the pool, you need to go the stories down, outside, through the owners private terrace, then up three flights of stairs again. It's challenging with small children. The apartment lacked several things - pool towels, face washers, hand towels, bath mats. This would be fine if we weren't paying $2400 for the week to stay. The apartment was not clean. There were spiders throughout, the couch hasn't been cleaned and there were good pieces from last guests. Again, not great with small children that will then pick up that food and eat it. There was significant water damage on the wall in the lounge. The apartment shouldn't be rented until this is fixed. When we were first showed around all the windows were open. This is because when the windows are shut there is an awful stink of something rotten coming up through the pipes. Some doors didn't shut. Others the handle came off - terrifying if your child is stuck in the bathroom and the handle comes off. I got it back in and then didn't shut the door again. All in all it was a shame and lacked value for money. Would recommend going elsewhere to get a villa to yourself for the same price or less.
