The Böhmer Country House, located in the Papstsdorf district, is situated in a quiet, wooded area with a mild climate on a plateau to the left of the Elbe River in the heart of Saxon Switzerland.
Papstdorf itself is a district of the climatic health resort of Gohrisch.
The country house can be reached via a chestnut-lined avenue, about 100 meters above the village. It offers a breathtaking view of the surrounding mountains Papststein and Gohrisch, as well as the Schrammsteine rock formations rising in the distance. An ideal starting point for hiking, biking, and rock climbing tours.
Dresden, with the Frauenkirche, Semper Opera House, Zwinger, and Green Vault, is about 45 km away. You can get there by train or on a paddlewheel boat from Bad Schandau or Königstein.
The country house, a former family-owned farm, was extensively renovated in 2006. The vacation home was newly built in 2016. The apartments and the vacation home are comfortably furnished. Flat-screen TVs, Wi-Fi, hair dryers, and well-equipped kitchens with dishwashers, microwaves, coffee makers, electric kettles, and plenty of dishes leave nothing to be desired. The furnished terraces attached to the apartments and the vacation home, with their beautiful views, invite you to linger.
Free parking spaces and lockable storage for bicycles are also available in ample supply.
