The location was good. Central for visiting Norwich and The Broads. The heating was good and the rooms were lovely and comfortable. We liked the pool table. The hot tub was clean and well maintained. The property is only 4 years old. The showers were very good and easy to operate which is always a bonus.
Martin and Jessie were very helpful with the problems we had with the tv and they are only just next door for any problems. I just messaged them and Jessie answered very quickly. Some people may not like this but we did-it's on the incoming flight path for Norwich Airport and there are a lot of helicopters in and out all day .If you've got the windows open, the 6am KLM flight from Amsterdam may be a little noisy for a few minutes. We enjoyed tracking the planes on Flight Radar.
We felt that a few lamps in the living room would have made it cosier. The full light was too harsh for tv viewing. There is no window dressing so you feel quite exposed so perhaps blinds or curtains even though you are not overlooked.
We felt that the hot tub maintenance on the last day could have waited until after we had left as we may have wanted an 8am dip.
The kitchen is quite badly designed. The sink is in the utility room and although the kettle and toaster are in there, it wasn't near to the fridge or the crockery etc. There weren't many glasses.
The crockery and glasses are in quite a high cupboard so if a visitor was not very tall, it would be difficult to get items out.
There isn't anywhere to put any food other than the fridge. We used the walk in room behind the cookers/cupboards and made a space for our bread, nibbles etc. It did have the bed linen and towels in, however I did tidy it up before we left.
There wasn't really enough toilet roll. We had to move some to the downstairs toilet as everyone was using that during the day. Some kitchen roll would have been handy and a small welcome pack would have been nice.
