This is an excellent location as a base for visiting Lakes, nearby villages such as Hawkshead which has 2 great pubs for eating and a shop selling the gingerbread made in Grasmere.
The lounge area of the house was very spacious, and also the dining area.
Great large bath towels.
We would definitely consider staying here again despite the niggly items below.
Bin was broken and no bin outside backdoor as stated in folder
Blinds in the kitchen, single bedroom and dining area need fixing or replacing as roller chain missing. Too bright in single bedroom even with the blind installed.
Utensils especially wooden spoons and saucepans could be replaced. Handle on small saucepan is loose.
No hairdryer available
The shower in the en-suite bathroom is extremely noisy, and can be heard all around the house.
The 2 single beds in one room - the mattresses are uncomfortable and in one you can feel the springs. Also in this room the electric plugs are behind bed so a small extension lead should be provided.
The door into the double room hits the bed so if you didn't know likely to hurt yourself.
Main bathroom door needs a stopper as it bangs against the tiles - could get cracked.

The house can accommodate 7 people but there is not enough outside seating. One chair is broken, and two others had holes.
House could have done with an airing and clear away of cobwebs.

Beautiful property with everything you need inside and out. Location is not only beautiful but 5 mins walk into Ambleside.

Excellent location with good parking. The house was clean.
The cooker was filthy and did not work. The back door was unlocked with no key. A lot of the windows were not secure as the handles were broken. The house could easily be broken into.
Little wardrobe space. Second double bedroom was extremely small and difficult to get in and out of. The bathroom door would not close properly. The doors upstairs and floorboards were very noisy
