It might look odd to stay on a island while visiting Aswan, but that is only on a first sight.
Airkela Nuba is an excellent place to stay on the Elephantin island, especially if you are travelling with family.
Peaceful and clean place, with big terrasse overlooking Nile. You look on the ballet of cruises and felucas without suffering of the hectic traffic and noise on the opposite shore. It is very pleasant both morning and night.
On the top, the house is perfectly kept and have nice breakfast. If your schedule is tide and you need a solution, be sure they will find it.

From the moment I arrived I was made to feel at home as a solo female traveler I felt really cared for and really safe
The space had everything I needed it was quiet, clean and comfortable. I felt part of a family

The best part was the family that owned it. They were soooo welcoming and kind. The breakfast was delicious and the room was so nice with a balcony to the Nile. What a great little gem.
That we had to leave so soon :(

The staff here were by far the friendliest and most helpful people I met during my entire trip to Egypt. We asked if it was possible to change our rooms, and they immediately helped us. We offered to pay the difference, but they absolutely refused and told us it was a gift from them.
They also offered us coffee, tea, and water free of charge. When we were leaving, they even gave us handmade necklaces they had made themselves, which was such a lovely and thoughtful gesture.
They responded to every request quickly and were always happy to help. Their kindness and hospitality truly made our stay special.
If you ever visit Aswan, don’t think twice about staying here. I would like to thank the owners once again for their incredible hospitality and kindness. We will always remember you! ❤️
There was nothing I didn’t like. Everything was perfect!
