Very expensive for very basic accommodation
The location is good, however there is no view (other than the roof of the shops next door)
For the cost (1 week cost over $5,000)- the value for money is atrocious. We have rented far superior accomm at Coolum and Noosa for this amount. Some issues include:
1. The physical building is an 'el cheapo' build (done on a very tight budget). Bugger all GPO's, leak stains in ceiling, low ceilings (2200mm above kitchen), external furniture fabric rotting/ripped, clothes airer rusted, locks not operating properly, windows rattle in wind, the list goes on.
2. It Sleeps 6, however owner provides 1 x roll of toilet paper for the week?? - had to buy our own (never had to do this with other accommodation of this cost range. Given a 12 pack costs $11 thought it might be reasonable to provide 3 or 4 rolls as a common courtesy)
3. Soap - pump packs provided - most were empty - had to buy soap - again - why not provide soap - it's an inconvenience to shop for this stuff if you don't need to go grocery shopping.
4. No AC downstairs - ceiling is too low for ceiling fans, so mobile fans & cords to kitchen/eating area - nuisance.
5. Don't try to watch TV as the setup is ridiculous
6. Access doors are sliding doors - can only be locked by key - exit in emergency means keys need to be left in door so you can find them - not having ability to open doors from inside is a pain (especially with only 2 keys and multiple guests)
7. No flyscreens on ground floor sliding doors so can't leave doors open for ventilation (insects, etc) - also courtyards both ends, so there is little or no breeze.
8. Locks to sliding doors not maintained, so key in external locks very sticky.
9. Pet friendly - but cleaning is not up to scratch - dog hair on couch pillows. Top of fridge hasn't been cleaned for a while (viewable if you are over 6ft tall).
10. No exhaust above kitchen stove - cooking smells through house
11. In main b/room - GPO is under bed, so you have to get under it to plug in - did I mention the dog hair!!!!
