Location is amazing. Beautiful location itself, but also lots of nice walks/hikes nearby including for casual walkers / families. We saw the aurora from the balcony every night bar 1. Reindeer in front of the house. House was clean and cozy and very spacious. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend and we would definitely return.
Everything was great. Though worth being aware that the closest supermarket is a little drive away so worth shopping on the way in. Also be aware there is a small additional charge for bedding if you don't bring your own (this is standard in Scandinavia so will apply to all places outside of hotels - many places won't supply at all)

This is an exceptional house in every way, so where to even start... Johan is a gracious, very friendly and helpful host who made us feel right at home. He made sure we had everything we need, which brings me to the next point: The house is fully stocked with everything you can possibly want. From scissors to open your coffee package to a full entertainment center with all kinds of streaming and a huge tv to cleaning supplies for the bathroom. Everything. Also, the bathrooms: Wonderful, high end hotel category bathrooms with a superb shower and a washing machine. The beds were comfy and the view...
The view. You get a 180° pano of the fjord and the mountains, and you can spend hours just watching the sea and the weather change, birds move by, we saw a moose and even a fox. We asked Johan if he knew a good place to watch the northern lights and he said "right here", and of course he was right: You can watch them from the porch or even sitting on the sofa.
I also really liked where it's located, it's a few minutes from the ferry to Tromsö which makes getting there super quick. The ferry over to the next peninsula is only 30 min away, and one of the more popular hiking places, Blaisvatnet (with a fast charger for electric cars) is about ten minutes tops. Plenty of hikes in the area and the mind-blowing Lyngseidet Spar is not far.
I'm sure I'm not mentioning everything I liked, that's probably impossible. It's a perfect holiday home with a perfect host.
There's nothing that comes to mind. Even the bad weather was interesting. 😂

The house is well equipped and cosy. Even though there is only one heater, it does it's job very well. The views are gorgeous.
Bu sure to read the fine print of the listing carefully. I don't care very much for paying for various addons. From the pictures the sauna looked like easily accessible, but in fact it's in the proprietor's house next door. Also it costs 25 Euro per usage which is annoying. Beds were way too soft and felt cheap. Generally, I prefer to rent a house and not have the owner staying very close by.
