Our vacation home was renovated in 2012 and 2016 with great attention to detail to create a modern and luxurious space. On the first floor, a 59 m² living area, along with a 23 m² south-facing terrace and garden, has been transformed into an oasis of relaxation where up to 4 people can leave their everyday lives behind. The apartment features an open and spacious living-kitchen-dining area with room for the whole family, as well as two bedrooms—one of which can be configured with either a double bed or two single beds. The sleeping area also includes a modern bathroom and a separate toilet. If you’re vacationing with a toddler, we’d be happy to provide a crib and a high chair.
If you’d like to cook, the fully equipped kitchen is at your disposal, featuring a 4-burner stove, a microwave with baking function, a dishwasher, as well as a hand mixer, coffee maker, electric kettle, and toaster. The vacation rental is fully equipped with table linens and bed linens; towels are changed on the 8th day. A parking space is reserved for you on the property.

The vacation rental is located in one of Carinthia’s sunniest regions and is just 250 m from free access to the lake at the community beach reserved for residents of three neighboring streets. If you’re looking to relax, Lake Faaker See is the perfect destination; motorboats are prohibited, and the water temperature reaches up to 27°C in the summer. You can swim, sail, surf, or even fish in the crystal-clear, turquoise-green water. A surfing and sailing school and a boat rental are located nearby.
Our apartment is also an ideal starting point for great hikes in the Karawanken, the Carnic Alps, and the Gailtal Alps. Whether it’s Nordic walking, mountain biking, running, golf, or rock climbing, there’s something for everyone to enjoy and relax. The climbing area on the Kanzianiberg offers more than 400 routes for via ferrata or free climbing. At Tabor, you’ll find the newly built high ropes course, which opens in mid-May. A zoo, a summer toboggan run, and a children’s adventure park are all located nearby.
Just 6 km away, you’ll find the new Schloss Finkenstein panoramic golf course, which offers a true delight for golfers of all skill levels with its 18-hole course. In addition, avid golfers have access to over 10 golf courses and several driving ranges throughout Carinthia and in neighboring Slovenia and Italy.
Now considered one of Austria’s most important music festivals, the Carinthian Summer takes place annually from July through September, attracting world-class artists from around the globe and captivating audiences year after year.
Perched high above Lake Faaker See and nestled against a magnificent natural backdrop, lies the Burgarena Finkenstein. What began 25 years ago on a very small scale has evolved into a cultural hub following performances by international stars. Events take place from mid-June through early September.
