Location is perfect for the Northern Lights. The location is far from any light pollution.
The meals are excellent and their service is very tentative.
It is rather far driving from the nearest major city (Tromso), but the driving was easy.

An exceptional stay in an extraordinary location - but it's the people who make it truly special!
We've travelled quite a bit but Lyngen North is easily one of those places that will stay with us for a very long time. The location is absolutely breathtaking, with uninterrupted views of the Lyngenfjord and the majestic Lyngen Alps. There's something incredibly peaceful about being surrounded by such beautiful scenery, away from all the crowds. The entire property is thoughtfully designed and everything about the place makes you want to slow down, relax and just take it all in.
But as spectacular as the location is, what truly sets Lyngen North apart is its people. A very special mention to Angus & Samira who were absolutely fantastic throughout our stay. Their warmth, genuine hospitality and attention to detail made all the difference. They went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable, happy and well looked after. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and it was these little gestures and personal touches that made our experience so memorable.
The food deserves a special mention too! The dining experience at Solvind was wonderful and you can genuinely see the care and passion that goes into preparing every meal. A huge thank you to the chef for making our meals something to look forward to every day!
What we loved most was that despite being such a unique and premium property, the hospitality felt incredibly warm and personal. We never felt like just another set of guests checking in and out.
Lyngen North is undoubtedly a beautiful place to stay, but Angus, Samira and the entire team are what make it exceptional. We arrived expecting a memorable Arctic getaway and left with memories we'll cherish for years.
We genuinely wished we could have stayed longer.
A massive thank you to everyone at Lyngen North for making our time in Norway so special. We'd return in a heartbeat and couldn't recommend this place enough! ❤️🇳🇴
