Overall, the apartment is below average. The only major downside I personally overlooked when booking was the lack of a
The downsides:
There’s basically nothing provided for everyday living. No shampoo, no slippers, not even basic cooking essentials. Apparently, whatever previous guests left behind is what you get — in our case, that meant oil and sugar.
The frying pan is a joke. It’s barely big enough for two eggs, and even that’s pushing it. You can forget about frying a single potato or even half a chicken breast in it.
There’s no vegetable peeler or cutting boards, and the knives are dull.
On the other hand, there are enough plates to feed an entire army.
There is an iron, but it’s damaged and clearly one of the cheapest models. You really have to work at it to get anything ironed properly. At least there was an ironing board.
There’s a raised threshold between the hallway and the room, right in the middle of the doorway. It’s so ridiculously badly designed that it’s practically impossible not to catch your foot on it.
The shower enclosure leaks. The doors don’t close properly because they’re misaligned. Be prepared to either put up with a wet bathroom floor or mop it up yourself.
And when you check in, you’ll also get to play a little game of hide-and-seek with the Wi-Fi router, because apparently the hosts can’t be bothered to print out the password and put it somewhere visible — like on the front door, on the fridge, or on the little table next to the TV.

A voyeur’s dream
Central location, decent sized apartment
The property managers themselves were extremely disappointing. Building works were taking place during our stay, and when we arrived there were ladders filling the hallways. We had not been informed about the works beforehand, and the ladders reached high enough that it was possible to see directly into the bathroom, which understandably made my partner very uncomfortable.
When we raised this with the property managers, we were initially told that they didn’t think the ladders would reach that high and that they weren’t aware there were no curtains in the apartment. Given that they manage the property, this was already concerning. We were told that the issue would be addressed.
When we followed up, we were then told that they didn’t know building works were taking place, despite there being signs throughout the building, and that they were contacting the building management.
When we approached them again, we were ultimately told there was nothing they could do and that we should simply hang a towel up for privacy. When we pointed out the contradictions in their previous explanations, our concerns were simply ignored.
The apartment itself may have been fine, but the way this situation was handled by the property managers was extremely poor. We should have been informed about the building works before our arrival, and being told to hang a towel over the bathroom window as a solution to a privacy issue is not acceptable.
Great to have a washing machine. Apartment was great for two people.
The shower would be difficult for people with mobility issues. It is a large step up and nothing to hold onto.
