Ocean pearl beach lodge is effectively an oasis. A great place to be secluded and relax. Staff was excelent, being helpful and kind with us. And everything was always clean and tidy. The cabins are charming and well equipped.

The property suffers from two factors that will impact your ability to enjoy your getaway. First, and most impactful, location. The lodge is located on the far south of vilanculos' beach, surrounded by elements that limit your ability to move freely. Having mangroves right in front of the beach means you cant enjoy the beachfront. And having a river going into the sea right by the property, combined with the fact that there is no infrastructure bridging the lodge over the river towards the north of the beach means access is limited and you're effectively trapped during high tide. Which meant being forced to return before nightfall into the lodge for us. Second, the common areas: the pool, the restaurant and the "chill/lounge" area are all small and immediately on top of each other, meaning if people are using the pool it is uncomfortable to eat, and if people are eating it is weird to be swimming. This severely impacted our holiday, we intended a relaxing beach holiday and were met with obstacles that prevented us truly relaxing. As most reviews lauded location, we really were surprised at these issues.

Estuvimos en una villa con vistas al mar y todo fue magnifico. Tanto la ubicación, el alojamiento en si mismo, la comida que servía el restaurante y el personal. Cogimos una excursión con ellos a Bazaruto y Benguerra y fue también perfecto.

Por decir algo, quizás algunas pequeñas reparaciones dentro de la villa.
