Don’t book.
PLEASE DO NOT BOOK THIS PROPERTY — YOU COULD ARRIVE WITH NOWHERE TO STAY ⚠️
We booked this property in January 2026 for our summer holiday with friends and, importantly, paid in full months in advance. We believed everything was confirmed and had no reason whatsoever to think there would be a problem.
Then, just a few days before our arrival, we received information telling us there had been a change of name, although we were assured the property itself remained the same.
We arrived at Living Tarifa ready to start our holiday, only to be told something absolutely unbelievable: our accommodation had been DOUBLE-BOOKED.
Even worse, we discovered that the keys to the property had been handed to another family just one hour before we arrived.
We had booked months in advance, paid in full, travelled to the property as arranged — and were simply left stranded with nowhere to stay.
We contacted Booking.com, expecting them to resolve the situation. Unfortunately, their response was completely inadequate. We were provided with a link to alternative accommodation 200km away. This was not a realistic or suitable alternative for our group and certainly did not replace the holiday accommodation we had paid for.
Living Tarifa eventually found us somewhere to stay for one night, but it was nowhere near comparable to what we had originally booked. It was far too small for our group, did not meet the same specification and, unbelievably, had no air conditioning.
This was not a minor inconvenience. This was a holiday that we had planned and paid for months in advance, and we arrived expecting the accommodation we had booked to actually be available.
Instead, we were left dealing with stress, uncertainty and disappointment from the very beginning of our holiday.
We left the following morning, but the damage had already been done. Our holiday was ruined, and tragically, the experience destroyed our friendship as well.
The most shocking part is that this could have been avoided.
