Our stay at "The Little House Among the Walnut Trees" was nothing short of perfection. It’s the kind of hidden gem you always hope to find on Booking.com but rarely do. We can’t wait to return!
From the moment we arrived, we were enchanted by the incredible setting. It really is a "little house among the walnut trees." The cabin is set on a massive, lush green property with rolling hills stretching as far as the eye can see. It was so peaceful and private – the only sounds were birds singing and the rustle of leaves. We loved spending our mornings sitting at the table on the deck in front of the cabin just soaking in the views and fresh mountain air.
The cabin itself is a delightful A-frame. The interior is beautifully wood-paneled throughout, creating a warm, inviting atmosphere. The space is thoughtfully designed, including a cozy loft accessible by a ladder and a comfortable sofa area with a TV. We were particularly impressed with the well-appointed kitchen, which featured stylish touches like a stone accent wall, an electric stove, and a lovely espresso machine.
Evenings on the deck were pure magic. It felt completely secluded, and relaxing in the private hot tub while watching the evening light over the hills was the ultimate highlight of our trip.
The host was the perfect embodiment of hospitality. They were incredibly welcoming and accommodating while completely respecting our privacy throughout our stay. The real testament to their character came when we discovered one of our car tires was damaged on a Sunday. Not knowing the local area, we were worried about being stranded, but the host went above and beyond, immediately calling around the village and finding someone willing to repair it for us that same day. They saved our trip and made us feel so well taken care of, making a stressful situation disappear.
