The peaceful garden and rustic surroundings were a perfect contract to the hustle & bustle of the city vibes of Bangkok and Chiang Mai centre.
It was fairly easy to drive to the location, just 45-50 mins from the outskirts of Chiang Mai, and we dropped in at an interesting local market off the main road en-route. We particularly loved the pagoda area with the koi carp pool and enjoyed feeding the fish.
The breakfast was lovely and exceeded expectations. Fresh coffee and cooked eggs (including option for omelette), served with ham, sausage and fresh salad, plus self-serve toast and preserves.
There's a great little restaurant just 5 mins drive away. Arbusto serves a choice of Italian or Thai cuisine and we found it to be very good. They also do good cocktails.
A few minutes away there's the Mae Kuang Dam, set within a national park area where tourists and locals congregate to watch the sunset behind the mountains. It is very beautiful and worth a visit.
The owners are so friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. There are usable bike, which we just ran out of time to ride around the local area, due to our schedule. Highly recommended for a peaceful break away from tourist locations.
Only thing lacking was the facility to make tea or coffee in the room, but from 7am there was fresh coffee and tea making facilities out in the central breakfast area, so it wasn't a big inconvenience.

Absolutely peaceful, beautiful creative gardens, 5/10 minutes of bicycling to the village. The owners ( Mom and daughter) are smart , highly motivated and smart ladies with a quiet humility and great advice.
