Our stay was very poor, and we will no t book with Booking .Com Again.
WE liked the pool. It was spacious. As far as size, the bedrooms were good.
We were unable to contact the guest host by email of phone. Evolve initially had problems contacting the guest host. Upon arrival, there was a puddle of water on the floor in front of the refrigerator which had been turned off. The freezer had a big block of ice that was dripping water. Evolve was called. They contacted Fernando of Texas NVH who were the maintenance firm managing the property. Texas NVH sent a repair man the next day causing a delay in our vacation plans. We finally were able to talk to Fernando the next day. That night we discovered the sheets had not been changed since the last occupants. We slept on top of the bedspread that night. The next day Fernando showed up. He came to the house but did not properly introduce himself. We had to ask him if he was Fernando and he said yes. He denied that he was the guest host. Our paperwork showed that he was. He said the owner was the guest host and was not in state. The guest host(owner) being out of state hampered resolutions. The cleaning woman came next day and changed sheets and cleaned bathrooms. She cleaned a broken foldout couch bed that did not have sheets. The following items were found.
No wash clothes or hand towels but received 2 hand towels and 2 wash clothes for 6 people
Furniture was stained and dirty
Majority of blinds were broken
1 incorrect stopper for 2 bathtubs
Dishwasher was broken but not listed in the notes
No dish soap for dishwashing
No dish towels or dish wash clothes
Ants in dining room and kitchen with no ant spray available
The DVD player was not cable connected to the TV
No instructions for either TV and their remote operation
Outside grill was filthy and only two burners worked efficiently
Our question to Booking.com, Evolve and Texas NVH is this experience you would want on your vacation? If it is, how sad.
We will be telling all our friends not to book with Booking.com or to trust Evolve. If Booking.com has any integrity they would refund our money.
