A wonderful hotel with lovely staff and a first class restaurant where Chef Masashi Okamoto works his magic.
A bit of road noise

Design and staff
They could use more signs on which common areas are exclusive for the guests of the building (there are three buildings) and which areas require shoes off.

We lived the architecture and the opportunity to visit all of the buildings on the architecture tour. The bath house was a great experience, all of the food was delicious and the staff very lively and accommodating

The restaurant
Room is extremely small and staff was not friendly nor helpful.
For this price, i expected much better room and customer service. Even though i informed in advance about celebrating our anniversary, the staff did nothing - no happy anniversary, no note or whatsoever. Kind of disappointing.
And when we approached them asking about a nearby tour’s information, the staff originally just said it’s not organised by them. Of course i know its not organised by you. As tourists who do not speak Japanese, i hoped for a more proactive attitude to help resolve the issue.
Don't know why it is a Michelin key hotel.
